Resurfacing a Secondary Containment at a Dairy Plant

At PennCoat, we’re a leading secondary containment painting contractor that you can count on to keep your secondary containments clean, safe and looking sharp.

The project shown below was located at a large industrial dairy in Central Pennsylvania, where the owner had removed and reinstalled a new engineered concrete floor in the existing containment area. After completion and cure of the concrete, PennCoat prepared and resurfaced the sump pit, then installed a new 2” margin cove base followed by a ¼” urethane cement resurfacer. The system was finished with an anti-slip, textured, chemical-resistant, Novolac immersion-grade finish coat that was applied at a thickness of 20mil.

When you have PennCoat in your facility, you can trust that the job will get done quickly and with minimal impact on your operation. Best of all, when it’s done, you can bet that the final result will match the sample chip perfectly!
